"I must say Nickolai was a superb guide to us. Very knowledgable on what was a very cold day, but it didn't dampen our spirits. 10 out of 10 for Nickolai on what was a fantastic tour"

Tour: Pergamon & New Museum Tour
Guide: Michael
Date: 10.12.17

"Michael brilliantly guided my small group through some of the major works of these magnificent collections. He is deeply informed, very engaging and stimulating, and responsive to questions, not to mention beautifully well spoken with an actor's command of the Queen's English. The "greatest hits" -- including the Ishtar Gate and the bust of Nefertiti (the Pergamon Altar was closed for renovation work the day I was there) -- are breathtaking, but he showed us much more, a lot of it somewhat unexpected. He put what we were seeing in a broad historical context, including the recent history of World War II and reunification as seen through the reconstruction of the museum buildings. I think a guide is essential in tackling collections of this scale in a brief visit. It's a bit pricey, but you then have a full day's ticket to all five museums on Museum Island so that you can explore further on your own. I saw and learned so much more, and so much more comfortably and efficiently, than I would have on my own. Well worth the price and one of my most lasting memories of my visit to Berlin."

Tour: Third Reich Berlin
Guide: Nickolai
Date: 18.12.17

"The tour was fascinating, informative but cold. Nickolai did his best to keep us warm with a good choice of locations. His delivery, knowledge and passion for his subject shone through. It was a pleasure to listen to him. Thanks Nickolai "

Tour: Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial
Guide: Walid
Date: 14.11.17

"This is an excellent tour. You can do this by yourself, but you'll get more out of it, and feel less anxiety getting to and from the site if you go with a guide. Walid was fabulous: informative, interesting, entertaining, and, more than once, deeply moving. We did this tour on our second full day in Berlin; it was a good way to acclimate to the city and the U-bahn; and a good way to somehow partially process what went on at Sachsenhausen. "
