Book your tour for the time at which your ship docks.
12-hour round trip
Our driver will be dockside holding up a sign with your name on it.
Travel in comfort in our private vehicle. Our driver will pick you up from the dock and whisk you off to Berlin (around a 2.5-hour ride), where you will meet your personal guide for the day and embark upon one of our top-ranking Insider tours.
Your expert guide will help you make full use of your time in Germany’s capital city, providing you with a succinct yet comprehensive overview of the city’s evolution over the centuries. After hearing how Berlin came to be one of the most important cities in Europe under Prussian ruler Frederick the Great, you will chart its progress from the years of the German Empire to the turbulent 1920s and the failed Weimar Republic. This backstory will allow you to put the Nazis’ rise to power into its historical context. The tour will give you a sense of what life was like in the city under the Third Reich and, subsequently, under occupation during the Cold War years.
Moving through the city both on foot and in our vehicle, you will be able to cover a lot of ground during this unique experience. You will see the Berlin Cathedral, Museum Island, Bebelplatz (site of the infamous Nazi book burnings), Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall and death strip fortifications, Goering’s Air Force Ministry, Hitler’s bunker, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the East Side Gallery and many more sights!
If you are travelling in a group of more than six people, please contact us by email at email@example.com and we will do our very best to accommodate your party.
The following list of sites is intended to give you an idea of what you can expect to see on this tour. Please note that our exact route may vary on the day, depending on circumstances and your hotel pick-up point.
We did the hidden Berlin tour with insider Berlin and loved it. While it is a long drive from Rostock, it is well worth your time and money. Our guide Anne grew up as a east Berliner and saw the wall coming down as a teenager. We saw a lot of the major sites and finished the day at a great German beer garden. A really nice day. Our driver micha was also very nice and got us back to our port swiftly before we sailed. Highly recommended!!! T. Pat July '23
This was a fantastic 4 hour tour. Worth every penny and time spent. Extremely knowledgeable tour guide who is very passionate about his job. Highly recommended. Keep up the great work. Elz P. July '22
We had a limited amount of time, having come from a cruise ship in Warnemünde - 3 hours from Berlin. Our guide showed us the main sites, explained the history and was a very pleasant presence throughout. I can highly recommend this tour - I travelled with a daughter in her early twenties. Helen P.
